Rajasthan signs 862 MoUs to boost agri & allied sectors
Jaipur: PM Narendra Modi’s initiatives like ‘Make in India’ have inspired the Rajasthan government, led by CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, to launch the Rising Rajasthan Summit to boost investments and employment. Chairperson of Rajasthan Kisan Aayog, CR Choudhary, emphasized Rajasthan’s agricultural leadership, noting its top production rankings for mustard, oilseeds, and millets. At the Rising Rajasthan Agriculture & Allied Sector Pre-Summit, Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant stressed the importance of timely project implementation and called for reviving the Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet. MoUs worth Rs 19,497 cr were signed with 862 investors across agriculture & allied sectors. Devesh Chaturvedi, Secretary of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, urged collaboration between farmers and private sector, promoting digital & natural farming. Rajan Vishal highlighted technological advancements to double farmers’ incomes. Samit Sharma discussed potential innovations in dairy byproducts.
