Rajasthan polls: "Vote for good governance, law and order," BJP's Alka Gurjar appeal to voters

Jaipur: BJP leader Alka Gurjar on Saturday appealed to the people of Rajasthan to vote for the BJP, which is fighting the State Assembly elections to "restore" law and order and "good" governance.
The BJP leader alleged that the state government was deeply "entrenched" in corruption.
Speaking to ANI about the polls, Guraj said, "We are fighting this election for good governance...Today, the state government and administration are deep in corruption"
"For the restoration of law and order, strengthening state economy, and respect for women, I appeal to the public to vote for the BJP," she added.
Meanwhile, reports have emerged that a scuffle broke out at a polling booth in Sardarshahar assembly constituency in Rajasthan. Police in large numbers were deployed to avoid clashes. Sources have said that no one was injured in the incident.
The ruling Congress is eyeing another term, while the BJP is seeking to replace the Ashok Gehlot government, banking on the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Voting for 199 Rajasthan member assembly is currently underway and will continue till 6: 00 pm.
However, polling for the Karanpur constituency was adjourned following the death of Congress candidate Gurmeet Singh Koonar.
Voters, who queued up outside their booths early on Saturday, can cast their votes until 6 pm.
Adequate security arrangements have been made to ensure peaceful and fair elections, as per a poll official.
In 2018, the Congress won 99 seats, while the BJP finished a close second at 73. Gehlot took oath as CM with the support of BSP MLAs and Independents.
