Rajasthan govt transfers 40 state administrative service officers

Jaipur: Before the assembly session and with the commencement of Chintan Shivir, 40 RAS officers were transferred by the Gehlot government on Monday, making major changes in the administrative fleet.

In this, 8 additional collectors and 7 SDOs been shuffled. In this list, 6 important posts of urban bodies including the commissioner and two additional divisional commissioners have been transferred.

The District Logistics Officer of Baran has also been changed. Before the assembly session, these transfers are considered important because there is little possibility of extensive changes except for important posts during the entire assembly session.

In these transfers, importance has been given to the opinion of public representatives. Through the shuffle, transfers made on a total of 6 posts including commissioners of urban bodies and two additional divisional commissioners have been changed along with Baran DSO.

Notably, 7 SDOs have been moved along with 8 Additional District Collectors. Notably, previous transfers of Vivek Kumar and Vikas Rajpurohit have been canceled. Interestingly, RAS Vivek Kumar has been transferred to 3 different places in the past and all three transfers have been canceled by the Personnel Department canceled. He was first posted as Secretary of, the Social Welfare Board but there was no RAS post whereas, in Churu, the Zilla Parishad CEO was transferred which Vivek was about 8-10 years back.
