Rajasthan government terminates Jaipur (Greater) Mayor Somya Gurjar

Jaipur: As per the reports, Mayor Somya Gurjar has been terminated from her duties after judicial enquiry finds her guilty. The government has taken this decision after getting a copy of the orders of the Supreme Court.

In the judicial inquiry on August 10, Somya and three councillors Ajay Singh Chauhan, Shankar Sharma and Paras Jain were booked under section 39(1) (d) of the Municipality Act, including other provisions and misconduct, negligence in the performance of duties and indecency.
