Rajasthan eyes Rs 1 lakh cr with multiple MoUs in mining sector
Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has stepped up as a leader and motivator with the sole aim of making the Rising Rajasthan Investment Summit a success. The leadership of Sharma, who also holds the mines portfolio, has led mining dept to achieve remarkable milestones.
Prior to the Rising Rajasthan summit, 35 MoUs worth Rs 44,743.95 cr were done , along with an additional 80 MoUs totaling Rs 24,010 cr. In the minor minerals sector, MoUs worth Rs 226 cr have also been secured. Furthermore, a MoU worth Rs 400 cr with ONGC is set to be signed soon. The department has so far issued Letters of Intent (LOIs) for 60 investment cases.
With the summit scheduled for December, the mining sector is expected to exceed Rs 1 lakh crore in investments.
On September 30 and October 1, a roadshow will take place in Delhi where 6 MoUs will be signed by mining dept in the presence of the CM.
Among the agreements, a MoU worth Rs 2,000 cr will be signed with JK Lakshmi Cement, Rs 2,500 cr with Shri Cement, Rs 1,200 cr with Pacific Industries and Rs 1,000 cr with Vin Ferro Alloys will be signed. Additionally, agreements with Gail India Limited for Rs 29.40 crore and Rajasthan State Gas Limited for Rs 343.42 crore will also be signed. The petroleum sector has seen four MoUs totaling Rs 21,092 cr, while 3 MoUs in the CGD sector are valued at Rs 3,325 cr.
