Rajasthan Day: Visits to monuments free today

Jaipur: On the occasion of Rajasthan Day, being celebrated on Saturday, tourists will be allowed free entry in all the monuments and museums of the state. Besides, folk artistes will regel them at various tourist places.

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the people of the state. He said that Rajasthan’s tourism, folk art, culture and rich heritage are recognized across the world. “The state has numerous stories of bravery and patriotism, mutual harmony and brotherhood,” he said. On March 30, 1949, the princely states of Jodhpur, Jaipur, Jaisalmer and Bikaner were merged to form the greater Rajasthan union.
