Rajasthan Assembly polls: "This festival will decide your future," says Rajyavardhan Rathore to voters

Jaipur: As polling is underway in Rajasthan, BJP MP Rajyavardhan Rathore reminded voters on Saturday that this festival of democracy will determine their future for the next five years, and they should not have any difficulty choosing the next government in the state.
He also claimed that there is a wave of BJP in the state.
Speaking to ANI, the BJP candidate from the Jhotwara Assembly constituency said, "I urge all voters to celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime festival with great fervour. Exercise your right to vote."
"This festival decides your future. This decides your next five years. This difference is clear. I don't think the voters will have any difficulty choosing the next government in the state," the BJP MP added.
He said that people were "aware" of Congress rule in the last five years in Rajasthan and the work done by the BJP-led government in the last ten years.
Speaking to reporters after casting his vote at a polling booth in Jaipur, Rathore said, "Rajasthan showed the worst example of politics of hatred in the last five years...Due to their selfishness, they pushed both their party and the state into a pit. This is what has happened in Congress rule."
Terming the grand old party without any "vision" or "resolution" for the people of the state, he said, "Nobody has any expectations from the Congress party; they neither have a vision nor a resolution. We care for the people of Rajasthan. Congress will get to know on December 3, and maybe a few of them will be shocked. But the wave is in favour of the BJP."
Voting is underway in 199 out of 200 assembly seats in Rajasthan on Saturday after days of hectic campaigning by major political parties, including the ruling Congress and BJP.
Elections in the Karanpur constituency were adjourned due to the passing of Congress candidate Gurmeet Singh Koonar.
The polling began at 7 am and voters can cast their ballots until 6 pm.
Adequate security arrangements have been made to ensure peaceful and fair elections.
A total of 1,02,290 security personnel have been deployed to ensure peaceful voting. A total force of 69,114 police personnel, 32,876 Rajasthan Home Guard, Forest Guard and RAC personnel have been deployed and 700 companies of CAPF have been deployed, he added.
The counting of votes will be taken up on December 3.
In 2018, the Congress won 99 seats, while the BJP won 73. Gehlot assumed the CM position with the support of BSP MLAs and independents
