Raj will become self-reliant in Energy Sector: CM
Jaipur: CM Bhajan Lal Sharma while addressing a ceremony organised at CMO on Sunday on the occasion of the signing of MoUs and PPA worth Rs 1.60 lakh cr for thermal and renewable energy projects, and other development works in the state. CM announced that within just three months, the State govt has taken historic strides toward achieving self-reliance in various sectors. Sharma credited fruitful discussions with Union Ministers Pralhad Joshi and Rajkumar Singh for ensuring adequate coal supply, with Raj now receiving 23 coal rakes daily, leading to a 1000 MW increase in power generation from thermal units. Dy CM Diya Kumari lauded the joint efforts of the central and state govts, citing a new MOU between REC Limited and State govt, securing loans worth Rs 20,000 cr for various projects. Energy Minister Heeralal Nagar committed to meet demand promptly, echoing PM’s vision. Union Coal Secretary Amritlal Meena hailed an 11% boost in coal production for enhanced energy security. CS Sudhansh Pant emphasised swift execution, with 1L registrations under PM Suryaghar Yojana.
