Raj set to become a USD 350 billion economy in next 5 yrs: Diya
Jaipur: Rajasthan is set to become a USD 350 billion economy in the next five years, leveraging its abundant natural resources, including gold, iron, petroleum, and newly discovered lithium deposits. The State Government aims to create 500,000 jobs, enhance infrastructure, and promote environmentally sustainable energy and digital governance, significantly impacting daily life.
Deputy CM Diya Kumari emphasised the timely establishment of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Rajasthan during the inauguration of its State Office in Jaipur, coinciding with the Rising Rajasthan Investment Summit. She noted that the ICC is one of the oldest and most proactive chambers in India, with a membership comprising prominent industrial groups.
Dr Jayshree Periwal, the newly appointed Chairperson of the ICC Rajasthan State Office, highlighted the Chamber’s crucial role in realizing the economic vision of both the State and the Nation. The ICC will collaborate with both State and Union Governments to enhance the local business environment and strengthen business communities through advocacy and networking. Dr Periwal further noted, “With India striving to become a USD 5 trillion economy, investment promotion is vital for state-level development.”
The ICC Rajasthan chapter is poised to thrive under the leadership of Dr Periwal as Founder Chair and JK Jajoo as Co-Chair.
The President of the Indian Chamber of Commerce, Ameya Prabhu, shared insights on ICC’s vision and Rajasthan’s significance in India’s growth trajectory. The ICC Rajasthan State Council is expected to advance the state’s industrial sector by fostering dialogue among business leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders.
