Raj High Court dismisses petition on Gurjar agitation

Jaipur: Rajasthan High Court has disposed of the contempt petitions filed by the state government in the matter of closure of railway track and highway during the Gurjar reservation of 2007.

At the same time, the court also disposed of suo moto cognisance.
During the Gurjar agitation in 2007, the government had submitted contempt petitions against Gurjar leaders including Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla, who has passed away, for blocking the railway track and highway.

During the hearing, the High Court had also taken suo motu cognizance.
