Raj has achieved remarkable target in power sector: ACS

Jaipur: Additional Chief Secretary Energy Dr Subodh Agarwal has informed that 20.63 lakh new electricity connections including 2.48 lakh new agriculture connections have been issued in the state in the last three years.

He informed that 60,672 agriculture connections have been issued in the financial year 2021-22. He said that the state has achieved remarkable achievements in all the sectors from power generation to distribution.

Dr Agarwal was reviewing the works of all the institutions related to the Energy Department in a virtual meeting on Tuesday.

He informed that in three years, 2 lakh 48 thousand agricultural connections, 12 lakh 55 thousand domestic connections in rural areas, 3.51 lakh domestic connections in urban areas and 3,319 BPL connections have been issued in the state.

He said that Rajasthan has now come third in the country in solar rooftop also. So far 516 solar rooftop plants have been installed.

CMD DISCOMs Bhaskar A Sawant informed that speedy action is being ensured on the cases and complaints received by the department.
