Raj govt’s petroleum revenue touches record ₹4,000-cr mark: Min Bhaya

Jaipur: The Petroleum Department, which has achieved 100 percent target in petroleum revenue, has played an important role this time by contributing about Rs 4,000 crore to the government exchequer. Due to the hard work of Petroleum Minister Pramod Jain Bhaya and ACS Dr Subodh Agrawal on the revenue front, the department has set a new record in revenue earning.

On March 31, in the last financial year, the Petroleum Department achieved the target of cent percent revenue by earning more than Rs 3,995 crore. This amount is more than Rs 2,090 crore as compared to the last financial year when the department got only Rs 1,904 crore revenue.

“It was a big challenge to increase the production of crude oil in Barmer basin and to maintain its demand in the market, but by planning, we also maintained the demand in the market and did not let the production get affected,” said Pramod Jain Bhaya. Now in the financial year starting from April 1, the department is to move towards target of Rs 5,000 crore. For this, the department has prepared an action plan.
