Raj Congress all set for voting in AICC President’s poll today

Jaipur: Countdown for Congress National President election has started & voting will be held on Monday. Senior Cong leader Mallikarjun Kharge will face Shashi Tharoor. Tharoor has 6 polling agents from Rajasthan, which is more than Mallikarjun Kharge. Rameshwar Vijay, Avinash Thanvi, Deepak Chaudhary, Adityanath Sharma, Aman Jain and Ashok Kumar Soni are Tharoor’s polling agents but not one of them is included in PCC delegates as such Kharge’s chances of unilateral victory are higher. Rajendra Singh Kumpawat, State Election Officer of Rajasthan Cong, explained entire voting process. He said voting will be held from 10 am to 4 pm, PCC delegates will mark “1” on ballot paper in front of candidate’s name while casting their vote & will fold ballot thrice & put it in the ballot box. Singh said a representative of the candidates is allowed to monitor the polling station, but the voter’s vote will remain confidential.
