Raj Cong passes 4 resolutions, leaders hail Gehlot govt schemes

Jaipur: Rajasthan Congress on Wednesday passed four resolutions unanimously at the state-level convention of PCC delegates here. The resolutions pertained to the state government’s flagship schemes, against inflation, Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, and the suggestions in the budget.

16 suggestions were given for the budget in the proposal that included reduction in LPG gas cylinders, generation of maximum employment for the youth, effective curb on gangs involved in paper leak, etc.

Disaster Management and Relief Minster Govind Ram Meghwal moved the resolution regarding the state government’s flagship schemes, which was seconded by sports minister Ashok Chandna. The resolution said that the people of the state are benefited by the schemes such as Chiranjeevi health insurance scheme, Indira Rasoi scheme, Udan scheme, Indira Gandhi urban employment guarantee scheme.

CM Gehlot, newly appointed Congress in charge of Rajasthan Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, PCC chief Govind Singh Dotasra, ex-dy CM Sachin Pilot & other leaders including Mohan Prakash, Dr Chandrabhan, Rameshwar Dudi, Neeraj Dangi, BD Kalla, Harish Chaudhary, Neeraj Dangi and Kuldeep Indora were present on the stage.

Food and civil supplies minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas moved the resolution against inflation. Targeting the Centre, he said that petrol and diesel prices have increased continuously despite decrease in the price of crude oil in the int’l market.

“The Central Government is stabbing the people in the back,” Khachariyawas said. PWD Minister Bhajan Lal Jatav seconded the resolution. “BJP people are afraid of us, why are you afraid of BJP?” he asked at the convention.

PCC Vice- President Naseem Akhtar moved the resolution regarding Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. It was said in the resolution that lakhs of people participated in Gandhi’s Yatra which gave a positive message in the state for the party and for Gandhi. Party workers were thanked in the resolution for making the yatra successful.

Mines Minister Pramod Jain Bhaya seconded the resolution.
The resolution regarding suggestions in the budget was presented by Minister Tikaram Jully and seconded by Dungar Ram Gaidar. Jully put forward suggestions including making the law against cheating stringent, festivals for art and culture should start on the lines of Rural Olympics, no new taxes for businessmen, increase in the number of Indira Rasoi, strengthening of public transport.

In the convention, party’s national spokesperson Mohan Prakash gave a passionate speech. He said that everyone gets a chance in the party on time. “We talk about the plans of the government but the opposition people ask questions about the name of the CM, you should clearly say that there is no problem in the party,” he said.
