Raj 2nd in mass suicides

Jaipur: The cases of suicide are continuously increasing in the State and the most worrying thing is that the State has come second in the country in the cases of mass suicide. According to the data released by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) for 2021, total 22 cases of mass suicide were reported in the state, in which 67 people lost their lives. At the same time, 33 of the mass suicides were committed in Tamil Nadu, making the state number one in the country. Kerala is at number 3 with 12 cases of mass suicide. Most of the suicide cases in the state earlier come from the rural areas, but now a lot of suicide cases are coming up in the urban areas as well. Such cases of suicide have also come to the fore in the state when people have committed suicide after being unhappy with the government system. The most worrying fact in the statistics of suicide is that now a large number of youth are also embracing death. There has also been an increase in the number of youth committing suicide in the state. Analysis of suicide statistics has revealed that people are committing suicide due to certain reasons. According to the NCRB report, maximum number of people are giving their lives due to family discord, disease and drug addiction.
