PSKS: 8 lakh people to get leases

Jaipur: The Rajasthan government has issued a notification to change the cut-off date for regularizing colonies to December 31, 2021 instead of June 17, 1999, which will pave the way for issuing leases for 3500 to 4000 colonies across the state including 2500 in Jaipur alone.

With this order, 7 to 8 lakh people of state are expected to get pattas.

The Urban Development and Housing department has issued a notification amending the rules for non-agricultural use of agricultural land in the Land Revenue Act.

Along with this, the earlier ratio of 60:40 in the plot and facility area has also been revised to 70:30.

There are many such colonies in which plotting has been done on more than 60 percent of the area and there was a technical problem in their regulation.

According to notification, if the facility area is already approved in layout plan, then it cannot be reduced later.

A Provision has been added to rules according to which, conversion of non-khatedari land can be done for non-agricultural use. Any layout plan approved by local bodies after 90A will be subject to the directions of the state government. If needed, the government will be able to make changes to layout plan.

Definition of mixed land use has also been clarified in rules for non-agricultural use of agricultural land.
