PSK writes to CM Gehlot over allowing ministers to file ACRs of IAS officers

Jaipur: Food and Civil Supplies Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas has openly expressed displeasure over dominance of bureaucracy in Rajasthan. He has raised a demand for action by targeting transferred Secretary from Food Department. The Minister has expressed his displeasure by writing a letter to CM Gehlot. On the other hand, Congress MLA Divya Maderna has targeted the bureaucracy, supporting Khachariyawas’s point.

“Our 46,000 tonnes of wheat has lapsed. This was a month ago. I called the meeting & reprimanded the officers. The way IAS officers are working, isn’t correct. I have written to CM to take action against officers, who were responsible for peoples’ wheat lapse. I called up the CMO. I have written a letter to the CM that you do not write the ACR (Annual Confidential Report) of IAS officers. Let us write the ACR,” he said. “When you give the ministers the right to fill the ACR, then the IAS officer will improve. Otherwise, they will not listen,” he said. Khachariyawas said despite repeated orders of the government, there were many disturbances. The officer who made the mistake was sent on prime posting in Akshay Urja Nigam. “I have written a letter to the CM asking him to take action against officer Ashutosh Pednekar. Yesterday I called CS also,” the Minister said.
