PSK holds 6-hr meet, miffed at low attendance

Jaipur: Food and Civil Supplies Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas took a six-hour marathon meeting of the officers of the department at Kisan Bhawan attended by all the District Logistics Officers, Legal Metrology Officers, and Civil Supplies Department officials.

He expressed displeasure over the participation of only 17 percent people in the National Food Security Scheme in Jaipur.

It was revealed in the meeting that in many districts it was taking several months to pay the commission to the ration dealers due to the negligence of the DSO.

Khachariyawas said that the officers expect salary on time but when it comes to paying the ration dealers’ commission there are problems.

He said that there can be no bigger pain than hunger. It is the duty of all the officers that the needy get their entitled ration in due time.
