Jaipur: A protest by various Hindu outfits and trader organisations was held at Badi Chaupar on Wednesday against spreading communal hatred after brutal killing of a youth in Ramganj. The protest, organised by Jaipur Bachao Sangharsh Samiti, was also supported by Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Jaipur Vyapar Mahasangh and various other organisations.

The protest began at 10am and continued till 12:30pm during which people chanted Jai Shree Ram and recited Hanuman Chalisa. BJP MP Diya Kumari, MP Ramcharan Bohra, MP Ghanshyam Tiwari, Former State BJP President Arun Chaturvedi, Malviya Nagar MLA Kalicharan Saraf, Former MLA Kailash Verma and leaders were also present in the protest. The traders in the walled city also kept their establishments closed during the protest. Meanwhile, the police had made adequate arrangements to maintain law and order and extra police personnel were also deployed to handle any situation.
