Projects will realise concept of ‘Aapno Agrani Rajasthan’: CM
Jaipur: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed determination to implement the MoUs signed, turning ‘Aapno Agrani Rajasthan’ into reality swiftly. The ceremony at CMO marked agreements worth Rs 1.60 lakh crore for energy projects, transmission systems, and state development. Five MoUs and a PPA between state power corporations and central undertakings aim to generate 31,825 MW. REC and the Finance department inked an MoU for a Rs 20,000 crore infrastructure loan.
Union Coal and Mines Minister Pralhad Joshi, addressing the programme virtually, said that at present coal is being produced in abundance in the country and we will soon achieve the historic target of producing one billion tonnes of coal. “For the first time in the country, potash mining is being planned in Rajasthan. The auction process of two mine blocks situated in Hanumangarh and Bikaner has been started. In the future Rajasthan will continue to get all possible support from the Coal Ministry.” At the event, Union Energy Minister Rajkumar Singh said that with these MoUs, Rajasthan will become self-reliant in the energy sector and will move forward on the path of development.
