PPL: FI Blue enter quarter final with 2nd win
Jaipur: In Pink City Press Club’s Press Premier League being played at KL Saini Stadium, the First India Blue team has secured its place in the quarter final by winning second match in its group on Thursday. In this match, First India Blue defeated Siyasi Bharat team by 5 wickets due to all-round performance of Garvit Narang.
Team Siyasi Bharat had won the toss and batted first scoring 163 runs and losing 7 wickets in ful 20 overs. Siyasi Bharat’s opener batsmen Lokesh (61 runs off 32 balls) and Hitesh (35 runs off 30 balls) scored runs quickly and made a partnership of 90 runs for the first wicket and when it seemed that Siyasi Bharat team would register a big win, First India’s Garvit Narang (3 wickets) & captain Bharat Dixit (2 wickets) bowled economically and restricted the Indian team to 163 runs. Vinod Sharma and Devendra Singh took 1 wicket each. In response to this, FIB’s openers Kartikey Dev Singh (34 runs on 28 balls) and Mukesh Bagra (30 runs on 27 balls) gave a solid start to the team. After this, Garvit Narang scored 61 runs (not out) on 28 balls and gave victory to First India Blue. Captain Bharat Dixit scored 24 runs on 26 balls.
