PoW to start ops from Oct: Tourism Minister
Jaipur: Tourism Minister Vishvendra Singh on Thursday took a review meeting of department officials in the secretariat & reviewed the proposals of tourist circuits, and implementation of rural tourism policy and directed officials for speedy implementation of tourism development schemes in Rajasthan. Minister Vishvendra Singh informed that the luxury train Palace on Wheels (PoW) will be starting in October. “A 100% exemption will be given in conversion fee for setting up of hotels or tourism units in villages. Similarly, 6,000 tourist guides and 500 TAFF personnel will be recruited soon. The new recruitment will strengthen the safety of the tourists,” said Minister Vishvendra Singh.
