POONIA TAUNTS AT TAGLINE OF STATE BUDGET, CALLS IT ‘CHAPAT’
Jaipur: BJP State President Satish Poonia has taken a jibe at the tagline given to the budget. Speaking in the assembly in place of the Leader of the Opposition during the debate on budget, Poonia said that the budget is not for savings, relief and progress, but it is the downfall of Rajasthan.
Poonia also cornered CM Ashok Gehlot for reading excerpts of the old budget speech and said that the budget is a confidential document of the government but its secrecy was breached. He said that such marketing of the budget has never been done before.
“Apart from this, the incident that took place in the House has not happened anywhere in the country till date,” he said, adding that after the paper leak, the budget was also leaked.
Poonia also targeted the state government over increasing debt, deteriorated law and order situation, increasing crime, and issues like unemployment, and corruption among others.
The BJP state president Poonia questioned why such announcements were in the election year.
Earlier, Poonia congratulated Leader of Opposition Gulabchand Kataria and said that he has made a big contribution in the politics of Rajasthan. Poonia also praised the schemes of the Modi government.
