Poll preparations: ARO first phase training begins today

Jaipur: Election Commission of India’s Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta stated that as per the directions of the Election Commission of India, a fiveday training cum certification programme for all assistant returning officers of the parliamentary constituencies of the state will be organized from today up to 23 at the Indira Gandhi Panchayati Raj Institute, Jaipur for the Lok Sabha elections 2024.

The second phase of the programme will be held between February 26 and March 1.

Gupta said that officers will be given special training related to the responsibilities of the ARO by national level master trainers of the ECI. “They will also be given training related to EVM, VVPAT, nomination, postal ballot and election related materials,” he said.
