Police raid 466 places, nabs 168
Jaipur: The police officials of Jaipur Police Commissionerate on Saturday morning raided more than 400 places and took 168 people in custody. The police action was taken in the wee hours of Saturday, during which 21 suspected vehicles were also seized.
Police officials from all four districts of Jaipur Police Commissionerate were involved in raids. Additional Commissioner of Police (First) Ajay Pal Lamba informed that the raids were planned given the increasing incidents of crime and chain snatching incidents in Jaipur.
“Between 5 am to 9 am, 2000 police personnel, including those of CST and DST, raided 466 places in the city. A total of 168 accused, who had been earlier chargesheeted under the Arms Act, were taken into custody and interrogated. Following the interrogation, 157 of them were arrested. During the search operation, 21 suspected vehicles were also seized,” said ADCP Ajay Pal Lamba.
