Police crackdwon in Raj, 733 held in Jaipur alone

Jaipur/Bikaner/Bundi: Under the police operation ‘Vajra Prahar’ on criminals in early Sunday morning, the state police arrested more than 1632 criminals from Jaipur city, Bikaner range and Bundi district. The campaign was launched on the instructions of DGP Umesh Mishra under which organized, hardcore, wanted criminals were arrested.

ADG Crime Dinesh MN said that in all the four districts of Bikaner range teams of 1727 policemen raided Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, and Churu at 1623 places by forming 322 teams and arrested 659 accused.

In Jaipur, 5,950 places were raided in which 931 criminals were brought to the police stations of which 733 were held. In Bundi district, the police arrested 240 habitual criminals, history sheeters & drug peddlers. The Superintendents of Police went out in fields to arrest criminals.

In Bikaner, the police in a crackdown on criminals on Sunday raided 1623 places and arrested 500 miscreants in Bikaner Range. Officials informed that raids were carried out in Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh and Churu districts in the wee hours of Sunday. “A total of 322 teams comprising 1727 police officers and jawans raided 1623 places. During the raids, 94 standing warranties and 485 other wanted criminals were nabbed. Eleven cases were registered under NDPS Act, 28 under Excise Act and three under the Arms Act. Vehicles, 137 litres of illegal liquor, pistols, and live cartridges were also seized during the police action,” said an official.

In Bundi, under the Operation Vajra Prahar, teams of 19 police stations of Bundi district jointly arrested 240 habitual criminals, history sheeters and drug peddlers. Police said that 240 people involved in drug trade and frequent fights, thefts and robberies were arrested in special operation.
