PM to enlarge BJP’s political footprint in Mewar-Wagad

Jaipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Rajasthan on Tuesday among the politics of Gujarat elections, as the BJP is trying to enlarge its political footprint in the Mewar-Wagad region. PM Modi will reach Mangarh Dham on Tuesday and during his visit, he can announce Dham to be nat’l monument, move which can strengthen the ‘lotus’ in Wagad. In the past several years, Sangh-BJP has prepared a strong ground here, but now there is a threat from tribal forces here as the demand for a separate Bhil Pradesh is rising. Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat has traveled here many times and few months back, Rahul Gandhi too had held a meeting in Baneshwar dham. Meanwhile, Gehlot too is going to Mangarh and the ERCP issue can be given ‘air’.

“Congress has given full page advertisements in at least 2 State dailies. Today is Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary. Advts don’t carry even a small photo of Patel. He was a big leader of country, the Congress & Dy PM in government of your Jawaharlal Nehru,” Modi said. The PM was speaking at a rally at Tharad in Banaskantha district after inaugurating various development projects. “They want to unite the country (referring to Bharat Jodo Yatra of Rahul Gandhi). First connect yourself with Sardar Patel who united the country. What an insult! The people of Gujarat will not take this insult lying down,” he said.
