PKC-ERCP to make Raj ‘Sujalam-Sufalam’: Modi
Dadiya (Jaipur): Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in ‘Ek Varsh-Parinaam Utkarsh’: Completion of one year of State Government of Rajasthan’ programme on Tuesday. Addressing the gathering, he congratulated govt of Rajasthan and the people of Rajasthan for successfully completing 1 year of state Government.
PM Modi, while inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of projects worth over `46,000 crore said that these projects will provide a permanent solution to the water challenge in Rajasthan. Modi added that the first year has served as a strong foundation for the upcoming many years of development. He further added that today’s event not just marked the completion of one year of the government, but also symbolised the radiating brightness of Rajasthan and a festival of development of Rajasthan. Modi said modern infrastructure being built in Rajasthan will fulfill resolve to make Rajasthan a developed state for present and future generations.
He said revised Parvati-KalisindhChambal project is a project to make Rajasthan a ‘Sujalam-Sufalam’. The PM said that work done by Centre in last 10 years could not have been done in 5-6 decades after independence. “The Govts at Centre and State are becoming symbol of Good Governance today,” said Modi. Modi said people who talk big in the name of farmers neither do anything for the farmers themselves nor let others do it, whereas our policy is not of dispute but dialogue. “We believe in solutions, not obstruction, and that is why our govt approved the ERCP and also expanded it,” PM Modi said.
MODI LAUDS BHAIRON SINGH, VASUNDHARA RAJE & CM BL SHARMA
In his speech, PM Modi praised the contributions of Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, Vasundhara Raje, and Bhajan Lal Sharma, acknowledging their roles in shaping Rajasthan’s development. He highlighted how Shekhawat laid a strong foundation for the state’s progress, followed by Vasundhara Raje, who advanced the legacy of good governance. Modi then commended CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, stating that his government is building on this legacy and enriching it further. CM Sharma has recently achieved signifi - cant successes, including victories in the bypolls and the successful organization of the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ event. In his speech, PM Modi expressed his pleasure at these achievements, particularly noting that the image of today’s success would be considered historic in the future. PM Modi emphasized the importance of continuing this journey of progress, with a focus on inclusive growth for all. He also expressed confi dence that Rajasthan would continue to thrive under the leadership of CM Sharma.

TODAY’S DATE WILL BE WRITTEN IN GOLDEN LETTERS, SAYS CM SHARMA
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed his gratitude to PM Modi, CR Paatil & Dr Mohan Yadav and said that today’s date will be written in golden letters due to the MoU on the revised PKC project. He said that the double engine government in the state is working with full dedication and seriousness to fulfi ll every aspiration of the common man and to take the state forward rapidly on the path of progress. Sharma said that this ambitious project will provide easy drinking water to about 3.25 crore people living in 21 districts of Rajasthan along with irrigation in about 2.5 lakh hectares of new area and additional water for irrigation in about 1.5 lakh hectares of area. Along with this, the industries to be established in these districts will also be able to get water as per their requirement.
MODI IS BHAGIRATH OF THE MODERN ERA: YADAV
MP CM Dr Mohan Yadav said Bhagirath of the modern era, PM Modi has an important role in bringing water of 3 rivers to dists of Rajasthan and MP through revised PKC link project. “The dispute of this scheme was going on in courts for a long time, it has been resolved after 20 years. MP is in a way motherland of rivers. Parvati, Kali Sindh and Chambal also originate from MP. In this project of `70,000 crore, only 10% fi nancial burden will come on state govts and 90% contribution will be given by Centre,” Yadav said.
