Jaipur/Udaipur: Ahead of RS polls, Congress candidate Pramod Tiwari left for Udaipur on Friday. Seven MLAs, including former Dy CM Sachin Pilot, also left for Udaipur to join in the ‘badabandi’ (fencing) in a hotel in Udaipur.
While on Thursday MLAs had gone to Udaipur in a bus & several private vehicles. But on Friday, 7 MLAs went to Udaipur by Indigo flight.
Congress candidate Pramod Tiwari looked confident of victory on this occasion. Speaking to First India News Tiwari claimed that there is no such thing as the preference of candidates among Congress candidates. “The priority comes when the votes are few. The votes of around 41 MLAs are needed to win a seat. Whereas we have a majority of 126 MLAs,” he said.
Pilot also expressed confidence that all three candidates will win. “Numbers are with us. BJP is supporting Subhash Chandra, but he will lack numbers. No MLA has any displeasure. The minor issues related to MLAs have been resolved,” he said.
After reaching Udaipur, Pilot left for Delhi in the evening and is expected to return to Udaipur after 2 days. He may hold some important meetings in Delhi.
Transport Minister Brijendra Ola avoided speaking to the media. Joginder S Awana said that all the MLAs are united. MLA Ramila Khadia also reached airport along with Rohit Bohra and denied any resentment in Congress.
