Photography, Cyclothon to mark World Environment Day

Jaipur: On World Environment Day on June 5, the Pollution Control Board has organised ‘Lens for a Greener World’ photography competition in which the first three winners will get a prize amount of Rs 15,000, Rs 10,000 and Rs 5000 respectively during a felicitation programme on the day.

The participants can apply for the photography competition today.

Also, a workshop on making compost from wet waste will be organized today along with ‘Women’s Cyclothon’.

Women have been urged to participate in ‘Women’s Cyclothon’ in large numbers.

Pollution Board Member Secretary Vijay N has appealed to the people that the best way to dispose of household waste is to make compost.

It will start at 5:30 am from Hotel Clarks Amer to Girdhar Marg via Apex Circle, Jawahar Circle back to Hotel Clarks Amer. The total distance covered will be 10 km.

The programme is a joint initiative of the International Society for Life Science and the PCB.
