Phone tapping: Relief from arrest continues for Lokesh till Nov 3
Jaipur: The Delhi HC has continued relief to CM Ashok Gehlot’s OSD Lokesh Sharma from coercive action in phone tapping case till next hearing on Nov 3. The case was scheduled for a hearing in HC on Wednesday.
However, the hearing couldn’t take place due to a farewell ceremony of a judge. Consequently, the hearing has been rescheduled for Nov 3 & Sharma’s protection from arrest will remain in effect till next hearing.
In previous hearing on Oct 11, Sharma’s lawyer Siddharth Agrawal argued against the Delhi Police’s allegations of non-cooperation in probe. It was also pointed out that the Union Minister filed the case after an 8-month delay, without providing a reason for the delay.
