PHED workers threaten to intensify opposition to RWSSC transfer orders

Jaipur: The employees of the public health and engineering department (PHED) have decided to intensify opposition to the transfer of the works and assets of the department to Rajasthan Water Supply and Sewerage Corporation (RWSSC).

They have announced to protest at Jal Bhawan on August 5.

Kuldeep Yadav, President of Rajasthan Water Works Employees Union, said in a press conference in Jaipur today that the water supply department has been under the government since the country got independence, but now steps are being taken to bring the works under RWSSC.

“The condition of other corporations in the state is already bad and now the interests of the employees of the department are being harmed and disregarded by getting the water supply work done through the corporation,” Yadav said.
