PHED warns of disciplinary action against its staff for unauthorized strike

Jaipur: The PHED has taken strict measures against employees’ recent strike actions. Secretary Dr Samit Sharma issued a circular stating that unauthorized absence without prior notice or proper approval will lead to disciplinary action.

Non-attendance will be considered as unauthorized absence, & severe disciplinary measures will be enforced against concerned officials or staff. Recently, engineers in the dept took collective leave to protest without permission and the dept may now take action against them. Notably, this follows widespread protests against Rajasthan Water Supply & Sewerage Corporation, with multiple organizations staging demonstrations.
