PHED Secy’s surprise check at 4 am

Jaipur: PHED secretary Dr. Samit Sharma conducted a surprise inspection of various places in the walled city of Jaipur from 4 am and took stock of the drinking water supply.

Chief Engineer Rakesh Luhadia, Additional Chief Engineer Amitabh Sharma and the entire team of superintending engineer, executive engineers, assistant and junior engineers were with him during inspection.

Immediately, department took immediate action and seized boosters from many places and repair work was also started. Sharma said that the connections coming out of main pipeline should be regularly inspected by field officers. He issued directions to stop illegal use of boosters during water supply. Sharma directed to confiscate boosters and impose penalties.

Sharma inspected Nahargarh road, Govind Rao Ka Rasta, Baba Harishchandra Marg and Mishra Rao Ji Ka Rasta.

During the visit, he inspected construction of a 17.9 km pipeline on Delhi Road, 1300 lakh liter capacity reservoir and pump house located in the campus of Ground Water Department.
