PHED bribery case: Court sends 6 in police remand till Aug 10

Jaipur: In a corruption case in the PHED dept, the ACB produced the six arrested accused — XEN, JEN, company supervisor, contractor and a broker in the court on Monday. The court sent all the accused in remand for 3 days. The accused were arrested in a bribery related matter of Rs 2.20 lakh.

Accused Mayaram Saini, XEn, Pradeep JEn, contractor Padam Chand Jain, company supervisor Malket Singh, Praveen Kumar and Rakesh Chauhan were taken on police remand till Aug 10.

Two teams of ACB under the leadership of ACB Deputy Inspector General of Police Randhir Singh searched Jain’s Polo Victory Hotel. The team also searched the office of absconding accused, Mahesh Mittal.
