Petroleum dealers call off strike for seven days

Jaipur: The Raj Petroleum Dealers Association has called off the ongoing strike for 7 days after which the sale of petrol and diesel became smooth at all petrol pumps in the state.

The association gave a memorandum to Bhaskar Sawant, Principal Secretary of Food and Supplies Department giving 7 days time to the government to look into the demands including VAT reduction. If demands are not met within 7 days, agitation will start again, Petroleum Dealers Association President Rajendra Singh Bhati said.

Meanwhile, the petrol pump dealers took out a silent procession from Statue Circle to Secretariat to press for their demands.
