Pet dogs’ ‘rescue’: Complaints lodged against JMC-Greater
Jaipur: Two separate complaints were filed against Jaipur Municipal Corporation (Greater) on Tuesday for taking the dogs back to the owner that were rescued because of mistreatment. The first complaint was lodged with the secretary of the local self-help group department, Joga Ram, and the second one was lodged with Bindayaka police station, which rescued the dogs.
“The dogs were handed over to the safe custody of JMC-Greater. How can the civic body hand them back to the accused when the case is under investigation?” said animal rights activist Mariam Abuhaidari, who filed the complaints.
As per the information, the police handed over the dogs to Jaipur Municipal Corporation (Greater) in Jaisinghpura but the officials allegedly handed over the nine dogs back to the owner.
