Paper Leak: ED arrests owner of Jaipur-based private school

Jaipur: The ED has made the first arrest in the REET 2021 paper leak case. The agency arrested Ram Kripal Meena, the owner of a Jaipur-based private school, on Wednesday as part of its money-laundering probe in paper leak case. Meena was taken into custody under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and produced before a special court here. The court sent him to the federal agency’s custody till June 27, the sources said. The ED accused Meena of laundering about `1.03 crore (out of `5 crore). If sources are to be believed, the ED has some important documents on the basis of which action can be taken against those involved with Ramkripal Meena, who has disclosed many big names during interrogation. Meena was arrested by the SOG a few days ago.
