Paper leak be probed by CBI: Poonia to CM

Jaipur: Days after SOG arrested the main accused in the REET paper leak case, BJP State President Satish Poonia on Sunday, demanded CBI inquiry in the case.

Poonia wrote a letter to chief minister Ashok Gehlot to demand the CBI inquiry.

“Lakhs of youths in the state were cheated due to the paper leak. Dummy candidates appeared in exams and irregularities were held.

Several officers and employees were suspended and despite that, the then Education Minister said that the exam was held successfully,” Dr Satish Poonia said.

The BJP State President further said that the SOG has arrested Bhajan Lal, who, as per the media reports, had given Rs 40 lakh to Prithviraj.

Dr Poonia while expressing his discontent further said that the SOG has failed to ascertain as to from where the REET Examination paper had leaked.

Poonia then went on to say that for a fair investigation, the state government should refer the case to the officials of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for further inquiry
