‘Panoramas of folk deities, great personas to be built’
Jaipur: Senior BJP leader Onkar Singh Lakhawat, who was on Wednesday, nominated as the Chairman of Rajasthan Heritage Authority, said that there is a lot to be done in this field.
“In many rural areas, there are still such folk deities and great men whose panoramas can be made to inform the people about their historical and cultural importance. The work in this direction will be expanded and intensified,” he said. It is believed that Lakhawat will be allotted a room near the office of Amber Development Authority. Earlier, the office of the authority was in OTS.
During previous BJP govts also, Lakhawat had served as the chairman of Rajasthan Heritage Protection and Promotion Authority.
Lakhawat is closely associated with RSS and is a big name in Rajasthan politics.
