Panel meets to explore opening pvt med colleges

Jaipur: There is good news for students who wish to make a career in healthcare. The state government has now started efforts to provide opportunities for medical studies in the state by opening more private medical colleges and expanding the existing ones. For this, a high level committee has been constituted and it will submit its report to the government in a couple of days.

The committee has started dialogue with all the stakeholders. The committee members include Ajmer Medical College Principal Dr VB Singh, Dr Amitabh Dubey of SMS Medical College, Bikaner Medical College Dr Abhishek Kwatra, Rajesh Additional Director Dr Rashmi, Directorate of Medical Education FA Hem Prabha.

Under the chairmanship of Dr VB Singh, a virtual meeting was organized at the Directorate of Medical Education on Monday

In addition to the representatives of all medical colleges, representatives of IMA and those who are willing to open medical colleges were also in the meeting.

Around 1,500 to 2,000 students who were stranded in Ukraine will get benefit from this. The students before returning to India said that they have made arrangements for food and water on their own in Ukraine but from the border, govt support was overwhelming. Students are happy to have left the danger zone.
