Palace on Wheels to be back on track soon, says Rathore

Jaipur: Rajasthan’s iconic luxury train Palace on Wheels will be back on track this year. The PoW is one of the major attractions of the state but the train had to be halted as there were no foreign or domestic tourists due to covid pandemic during the last two years.

Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation chairman Dharmendra Rathore said that luxury train will start soon and passengers will travel in it. “The Palace on Wheels has a name in the country and the world. It is the dream of every tourist visiting India to travel in it. The corporation is making serious efforts to restart the train,” he said. Rathore held a meeting with the RTDC officers and discussed various plans and issues of the corporation. He reviewed the progress of awarding the Palace on Wheels on the O&M model and issued necessary directions to officials. He said that the state government has given industry status to tourism as per the announcement made in the state budget 2022-23.
