Officials ‘sweating’ as Enforcement Directorate focuses on RISL tenders!

Jaipur: The Enforcement Directorate has increased the scope of investigation in IT case as an ED team reached secretariat on Wednesday for questioning 3 officers. However, in their absence, notice has been given for inquiry to all three officers.

ED team has asked for many documents and according to sources, the focus of ED’s action in the entire IT episode is on RISL tenders. ED is not considering the preliminary information given by IT officials as complete and sufficient.

In such a situation, instead of incomplete, complete and sufficient information has been sought from the IT officials. In this, information was sought not only about the tenders issued from 2016 till the issue came to the fore, rather especially the tenders in which Vedprakash had a role and for which work or service were the tenders given? What were the names of the companies to whom tenders were given? And what was the efficiency of the respective companies in doing that service or work? Were the procedure and rules followed in awarding the tender to the concerned company? If not, why was it not followed?

Considering the information received on these as incomplete and insufficient, ED asked to give complete and sufficient information. Ever since ED has come into action in this case, and since Ved Prakash has been arrested by ED, the IT officers - who may have a role in tenders with Vedprakash - have had sleepless nights.

In fact, the problems of that staff and officers, who are engaged throughout his office hours in gathering information sought by ED, has also increased. In short, due to ED coming into action, the personnel and officers in the department are sweating!
