Officers are no longer afraid of questions, they stall the answers

Jaipur: There was a time when there used to be panic among officers as soon as a question was raised in the Assembly. But now the situation isn’t the same. Getting answers to questions raised in Assembly from govt is also being considered a difficult task. 5,028 questions asked in 8 sessions of the 15th Assembly are still unanswered. However, former Assembly Speaker Dr CP Joshi had adopted a strict attitude over timely answers to questions. Now the first session of the 16th Assembly will begin on Jan 19 with the Governor’s address. MLAs have started asking questions for session. In this session, an MLA has been given permission to ask 30 questions.
