NZC agenda to include Raj in Bhakra-Beas Mgmt Board

Jaipur: Seven-point agenda of the Northern Zonal Council meeting, going to be held in Jaipur on July 9, includes the matter of having a permanent member from Rajasthan in the BhakraBeas Management Board. The Centre has approved the sevenpoint agenda and sent it to the Rajasthan government to keep it in the council meeting. Points regarding maintaining the water level in Bhakra and Pong dam, expediting investigation in rape cases, speeding disposal of cases under POCSO act in courts, optimum use of DBT in social security schemes, changing parameters of road construction in rural areas under PMGSY, curbing stubble burning are also in the agenda.

The meeting will be held on July 9 in Jaipur.
