Nurse protests naked outside SMS, arrested

Jaipur: A woman protested naked in front of Sawai Man Singh Medical College in Jaipur on Wednesday. According to the police, the woman took this step due to mental problems.

SMS Police Station Officer Navratna Dhulia said that the woman, an auxiliary nurse and midwife (ANM), was arrested on charges of breach of peace and presented in the court from where the court released the woman after formalities.

He said that the woman was posted as ANM (Nurse) in Beawar from where she was transferred to Ajmer and after that she was sent to Dudu. He said that the woman is also having a dispute with her husband and in-laws and a case in this regard is registered in Ajmer Women’s Police Station.

SHO Navratna Dhulia said that due to these circumstances the woman was under mental stress.
The senior officials of the SMS Hospital have been informed regarding the incident, police added.
