NTCA submits report on Dholpur Tiger Reserve

Jaipur: The State may receive a good news regarding formation of the 5th tiger reserve as the National Tiger Conservation Authority Technical Committee has submitted its report on the proposal of the State Government for declaring Dholpur Tiger Reserve. The forest area of Dholpur and Karauli comes in the Dholpur Tiger Reserve of about 1105 square kilometres, in which at present there is a variance of about 10 tigers. After this, the Union Ministry of Forest and Environment will issue the notification of Dholpur Tiger Reserve. The efforts of Principal Secretary Forest, Shikhar Agrawal, PCCF Holf Dr DN Pandey, and the Forest team are likely to fructify soon. Now the government will have to take a decision on the claim of Tiger Reserve of Kumbhalgarh.
