Now, Raj govt bans PFI for 5 yrs, alert sounded on its activities

Jaipur: A Day after the union govt declared the Popular Front of India (PFI) an “unlawful association” under the UAPA, the Raj Govt too banned PFI in the state. An order to this effect was issued by state home dept on Thursday. The govt has banned PFI and its eight affiliated wings for five years. Based on the notification of centre govt, the DGP, all Range IGs, Jaipur and Jodhpur Police Commissioners as well as all District Magistrates have issued orders in this regard in their respective jurisdictions. Notably, the NIA and the ED recently conducted multiple raids at PFI in Raj.
