Now, own a house at cheaper rates than before, courtesy RHB

Jaipur: Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) Commissioner Pawan Arora informed on Thursday, that the registration of flats constructed in multi-storey buildings of more than four storeys of Rajasthan Housing Board, have now become cheaper for the common man than before. The stamp duty levied in the registry of flats constructed in multistoreyed buildings whose value is less than Rs 50 lakh has been reduced from 6 per cent to 4 per cent, he said.

The RHB Commissioner said, "Orders in this regard have also been issued by the Finance Department of the State Government on August 2. Along with this, the Finance Department has given separate concession in stamp duty for senior citizens above 60 years of age in the case of flats and independent houses constructed in buildings up to fourstoreys built by the Board. Stamp duty for their registry from senior citizens will now be charged only 5 percent instead of 6 percent. Registration fee on these from senior citizens will also be charged only half percent instead of one percent. With this exemption given by the State Government, registration of surplus houses and flats currently being sold by the Board through e-bid submission has become more affordable than before."
