NORMS OF MAHARANA PRATAP AWARD CHANGED

Jaipur: The number of members in Maharana Pratap & senior award committee will be increased. At present, there are more govt members in committee.

Along with this, changes in norms of the awards will also be made and number of awards will be limited. New norms for complete transparency in selection will be issued in the next few days.

The Sports council is in dilemma regarding award and prize money for general and para sportspersons.

On the other hand, there is a difference in level of tournaments of general & para players.

Competition remains higher in tournament of general players whereas in Para Games, there are just a few players in many events. In such a situation, it is not easy to judge level of competition of both general and para players on one scale.
